Abstract |
The collection consists of a bill of sale for a slave and a clipping concerning the Davis family genealogy. The bill of sale transfers a slave named Rachel from James G. Davis to Ida Davis. The genealogy clipping apparently taken from a Duplin County, N.C., newspaper traces the descendants of Wendel Davis, Sr., 18th century planter of Lenoir and Duplin Counties. |
